Business Administration Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship

Forward thinking, innovative and established Medical Practice seeking an a Apprentice Business Administrator to support the Data/Quality Lead and Practice Manager on optimising recall and review process to maximize income - QOF and Enhanced services. 

Implement and oversee systems for the flow of patient records around the surgery and integration of information into patients records (Docman etc). 

To monitor, evaluate and improve Practice administration procedures:

  • Prompt and accurate data processing
  • Scanning, path links and medical summaries
  • Accurate data inputting and read coding of correspondence
  • Discharge letters and non attendees etc.
  • Dealing with patients on a day to day basis both face to face and over the telephone

Ensure the highest standards of data quality in terms of Read coding.

Working with colleagues to identify and develop current and new services or other initiatives.

The post holder will be expected to work towards achieving targets i.e. quality and outcomes framework and other key performance indicators.

Training to be provided

Advanced Business Administrator standard.

The duration of the qualification is 12 -18 months. During this qualification, you will complete training with a specialist trainer, reviewing and learning business protocols in an administrative role.

Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services.

You will work towards a business improvement which will include reporting and implementing a project for the business.

The business improvement will take you through to EPA where you will complete 1 test, a discussion within your role and present a presentation on the business improvement you have implemented.

The qualification is delivered face to face with remote visits and you will have a designated trainer that you can always speak too for support and advice.
