The role of a paralegal provides key support within a legal team and sits at the core of operations. It’s a really varied job requiring quick thinking, adaptability, attention to detail and clear communication.

This role sits within Experian’s UK Legal team, as part of our Legal, Risk and Compliance function, and will provide a unique insight into an in-house legal department within a FTSE 100 company. You have the opportunity to gain a wide range of exposure to different work which could include for example, Data Protection, Products and Regulatory, Litigation, Intellectual Property and M&A work.

It’s a really exciting opportunity and day to day, you could be:

  • Providing administrative support, assisting with various tasks relating to legal matters
  • Conducting legal research to support the team with cases
  • Assisting with the preparation and drafting of legal documentation
  • Supporting with process improvement analysis, to ensure our processes remain efficient and effective, suggesting enhancements for the future
  • Working with the business to solve legal problems

The best part of it all? The support you get from Experian. We’ll provide training and development opportunities to enable you to gain expertise in various aspects of law. You’ll work on real life projects to gain practical experience and insights into our business.

Alongside your role, you’ll study towards a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship, with a Certificate of Higher Education in Law and Legal Practice provided by BPP University. The duration of the course is 2 years and in addition to your salary, you’ll benefit from fully paid tuition fees, as well as our support every step of the way.

This apprenticeship is an ideal first step into a legal career, with future opportunities for training progression to solicitor apprenticeships. If you’re inquisitive, adaptable, enjoy problem solving and can work well in a team, this is a career path you don’t want to miss out on.

If you choose to join us, you’ll receive industry training, wide-reaching career opportunities and a wealth of support through our Early Careers network, buddy, line manager & mentor scheme.

Our Apprentice roles are permanent opportunities, and you’ll also take part in our 2 year structured Early Careers Development Programme when you join us which is packed with workshops, short-courses & online material designed to help kick-start your career.

Our concept is simple. We believe in expanding horizons – it’s what makes Experian a global leader and a Top UK Tech Employer.
