  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In my role I am involved lots of area of a project from scheduling to costs and also managing and mitigating risk of a project . My day to day involves having meeting with my line manager to discus work load and catch up and varies tasks which may be stretch assignment to build up my work skills .

  • Massively improved in my communication and presenting skills as have done may activity and mock task to build up my confidence in speaking in front of others .

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • There are many opportunities to grow my skills for the work place and build on personal skills and experience through the job role such as going to events other enrichment activity which really make the role enjoyable.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • So far what Ive seen the structure has been good as always help if need be and good amount of work load to constantly be involved and improving also can link the work and projects Im doing for university back to work to help improve.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • All the support you would need , very good at checking up on you and making sure you feel happy and healthy in work and if not there are lots of options to help change this .

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • It is difficult to give a lot of support as they teach online , however they set up lots of 1-1 sessions so everyone can get a personal session to ask any question or show any work to the lecturer.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • In some aspects not so much but there are defiantly time which massively benefit my work skills such as the university week projects where we are in teams and complete a mock project and present it , this is massively beneficial and teaches vital skills for the work place .

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are often social events to help improve the teams and have joined the company football team which has been a great way to meet new people at work.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Great work environment as feel like an important part of the team even if just joined and great opportunities to travel and network around the company whist seeing some great things . Also the support provide is excellent.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Make sure it suits you , research about whats going on in that business area you have selected and identify your best qualities to put forward to make you stand out from everyone else.
