  • In my current placement I am project administrator for my building, this means I am point of contact for lockers, workwear and other day to day office necessitates. I often interact with people from my project and have contact with team leaders regarding the workers under them.

  • I have developed my interpersonal and people skills in this placement as I am constantly communicating with new and different people on a daily basis.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The placements I have had so far have not utilised my abilities to the fullest in my opinion and were not fully prepared to train an apprentice to the best of their abilities.

  • We have a college day every fortnight whether it be online or in-house

  • I have constant communication with my line manager and she is eager to help when I have an queries or issues that need resolving.

  • We have delivery sessions every two weeks about the information that will come up in our EPA

  • There is the opportunity to be a part of the maritime council, a STEM ambassador and help out in networking events

  • No


  • 9b. Why?
  • The particular course I am currently doing I would not recommend as many placements do not have the work for us or enough to keep us busy. But there are many other courses that I would recommend to people in the business


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Be patient, it is a long process
