  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Managing my portfolio of clients and handling settlement queries from reinsurers. I am in the specialty casualty claims team which means I deal with casualty and cyber claims. I help collate packs of data which we present in engagement meetings with clients and reinsurers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes definitely, I have developed my organisation skills as well as my public speaking skills via presentations etc. Managing my clients also required a lot of confidence and organisation.

  • I enjoyed my programme but did find it stressful at times.

  • It is well organised but feel like the level of communication around the road map of the scheme could be slightly clearer

  • I receive a lot of support around my role development as well as exams

  • I receive support when needed, however, sometimes it is a slow process in order to get the support put in place.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think it helps me perform better in my role as as a school leaver I had very limited knowledge of the industry so my qualification helped me build a base of knowledge. However, my role is within reinsurance and the study texts are very direct based

  • Yes my company organise events such as next gen events and sports teams in order to expand our network
