  • My role includes a variety of tasks that are related to the profession of building surveying. My day to day role can vary from site inspections for RCA's, Building surveys and Party Walls to completing contract administration documents in the office.

  • I have learnt lots of new skills such as: RCA Building Survey Schedule of Condition Developed CAD skills Party Wall inspections

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy the program especially the wide variety of tasks I get to complete, whether this is in the office or on site.

  • Very well organised lots of assistance in place if there was to be any issues.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have regular meetings with a mentor from my workplace as well as my manager and supervisor for APC purposes.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have been allocated a mentor and a supervisor and they provide me with regular meetings, as well as this training days/CPD hours are organised for us.

  • It helps as it develops understanding and allows me to apply my workplace knowledge to ask more informed questions to make the most of the time.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Lots of sports teams to get involved with such as football, racket, rugby and more. Lots of social events are organsied and away days to get to know your co-workers more.
