  • My role involves assisting the management of payroll processes for the company's employees. On a day to day basis, I am responsible for tasks such as data entry, dealing with MyHR cases and preparing payroll reports. Additionally, I participate in training sessions to learn about payroll software.

  • I have participated in training sessions to learn about payroll software, tax regulations and company policies related to payroll processing.

  • Overall, I enjoy the programme thoroughly, I enjoy the hands on tasks such as handling MyHR cases and processing leavers. I enjoy the hands-on-tasks because I find them engaging and fulfilling.

  • The programme itself is structured really well and I thoroughly enjoy the sessions that I have with my tutor. It is very clear and I have a clear indication of what is required of me from each session

  • I believe I receive a good amount of support from my employer in terms of helping me tasks and going over what I need to do. My employer always provides me with a quick response or gives me a call straight away whenever I am unsure of something

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a good amount of support from my training provider when it comes to working towards my qualification. We have weekly calls to go over where I am in terms of the apprenticeship and what I need to complete to put myself further ahead from where I need to be.

  • It has helped me within my role because I am now applying what I have learnt from my tutor into work practices and that is helping my teams in terms of progressing with the work and not being held back or delayed

  • No, but I would love to start a sports team in the summer, it would be extremely beneficial to myself as it will help with my mental health and will help increase my productivity at work,

  • Yes, I would definitely tell my friends to apply for mace due to the amount of opportunities that mace offer and the people that work in mace are all so friendly and welcoming so it will create a positive work environment.

  • The main advice that I would give to others applying at mace is to be yourself. Showcase who you are and what interests that you have, this way you will be able to bond with your other work colleagues and will create a positive work environment.
