  • The management and strategic planning for the commercial performance of road operations, retail parts, and other business units.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have used some of the models in the course to enhance business performance. Partway through the course, I moved from an operational to a commercial management role. The new theories and models helped me greatly improve commercial performance in my new area.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My course ran through COVID-19, and it was a difficult time. The onsite learning at Cranfield was excellent, and the methods were enjoyable. Remote relearning was the best that was available at the time.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course itself, in terms of the syllabus, was very good. Sometimes the university (not the professors) appeared a little unorganised in planning times and locations.

  • My employer was excellent and fully supported throughout the whole program.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • University professors and my tutor for the CMI were all excellent.

  • As mentioned in previous questions, I can detail the monetary value that I contributed to the business due to my studies.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, we regularly play football. We also encourage development, and I am currently mentoring one of my team members through the same course.

  • Yes

  • I have been with The AA for over twenty years. During this time, I have had opportunities to develop my career and have gained several professional qualifications and a master's degree.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The AA?
  • It is a wonderful company with a very proud heritage. Its a company I am proud to say I work for.
