  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In my role I partner my with my stakeholders day-to-day to identify recruitment needs and support my Operations managers on my region with their recruitment. Meetings, reviews, working closely with HR Business Partners and ER teams to be proactive when it comes to need. Identifying high performance and internal talent of the future and supporting them in the career with Marston's.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot on my course so far! I know have a far better understanding of the world of HR and everything that goes with it to create a fabulous culture at work. Reward has been an extremely interesting subject for me and I am keen to use what I have learnt in my day-to-day

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed the programme so far! My lead trainer is super knowledge, helpful and supportive. The workshops have been great and getting to know fellow learners.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Organisation wise its very clear what is expected from you from the off. I think the online platform could be better from a learner perspective, can be a little clunky to use.

  • My line manager is amazing! So supportive as are the apprenticeship team - regualr check ins to see how you are getting on

  • Lots of support is on hand whenever you need it

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Learnt a lot about the wider Head office teams and their roles. Because of that understanding, I feel I am a better well rounded recruiter because of it.

  • We have amazing networks at Marston's, I am proudly a member of the Women's network, we run many events throughout the year to celebrate women of Marston's and promotive positive conversations. There are other networks such as Pride and the social network that host regular events throughout the year,
