  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a sales person whose main job is to convince customers to make sales. Daily it involves seeking out potential customers at their homes, online, in the streets and convince them to buy and try our products and services. At times it involves keeping a record of activities at the end of the day.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Sales is not an easy job. It comes with it's fair share of challenges that need to be dealt with effectively. My problem solving skills have been greatly improved. I am also able to communicate properly with customers and my fellow colleagues who together we work as a unit with.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My programme is a combination of class work and practical work. I am able to participate in both activities that build me as a sales person. I have been passionate about sales and to be able to take this programme means that I am able to do what I love

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is divided into class work and proper field work. All the knowledge is not obtained on class. As it is quite obvious that field and practical work play a very vital role in development. With this structure I am able to do both activities at the specified times.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer is provides a proper frame work on how the job is supposed to be done. However this does not mean that we are limited to this. We are able to put into action our personal ideas and Try out new things all together. This gives me an opportunity to grow.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider writes the course of what is to be done over the training period. This is important for planning. I receive maximum contact with the trainers and learn. The trainers also are at my disposal and are ready to answer my question whenever any arises from time to time.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Timing is a special aspect in almost all areas of life. I have learnt to plan my time well to get maximum work output. Because I have attended a training program and gained the skills I am able to attend to every situation differently. I am also able to think critically and solve problems.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There exist a fun part where I get to participate and compete with other sales people. Yearly there is a competition and a chance to be the best sales person. We also as a team organize charity runs that help us give back to the community that sustains us and who we depend on.
