  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Starting with checking the safety and working condition of the bus for the safe travel of the customer, this is completed before setting off. Main duties involve helping the public travel to their destination, money handling and good customer service skills needed. We can also need to be eyes on the ground for any traffic issues that will need to be passed to the police or to control.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • From the start it has been greatly organised and always kept up to date with the program even with the constant unpredictability of how the course will run due to the shifts never being considered due to the needs of the public need for transport and the companys effect to complete the requirements.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Stagecoach UK to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Stagecoach is a great company that is for ever growing, management are very supportive and will always seek to give you the best support and pass on knowledge. The job it's self is very easy if you let it be it will only be as hard as you make it. You are your own boss in some ways you get a corner office with a view.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Stagecoach UK?
  • Be true to yourself, driving a bus is not hard but it's also a job that takes skill and take time to get experience don't rush it listen to what your being told if you are unsure speak up because mistakes can be very bad. But other than that it's a great job. All jobs have bad sides to them so don't think to much on the negative views of some drivers.
