  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • This course focuses on sales, customer service and marketing and provides an overview of the whole sales process. It involves liaising with other departments of this business to gain knowledge about what each section involves. The units are varied and challenging and I'm enjoying seeing how it progresses and dives deeper into the factors that motivation a customer to purchase.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a great deal of new skills from this course along with developing other aspects of my role which were already present. The course is designed in a easy to follow way and the platform provided by DBC is easy to use. This has really enhanced my potential as a sales executive with Motus.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am thoroughly enjoying this programme. I've found it to be incredibly challenging at times but the wealth of knowledge I have obtained more than makes up for the difficulty of the units. It has allowed me to connect more with my colleagues and understand more of what they do and how this affects my role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I've found this course to be very well organised. My tutor, Jane, has been so supportive and has really helped me progress. She's structured the units in such a way that if I'm feeling overwhelmed she can amend the volume of work accordingly whilst maintaining my progress. She's been imperative to my motivation and productivity whilst completing.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Everyone I've approached at Motus regarding this course has been so supportive of me and helping me with anything I need to complete. Bryan has been patient, has taught me lots of different things required and has shared his experience of doing a similar course. Motus Commercials are heavily invested in helping their employees to progress within their careers.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Any support that I need when completing this course is available to me via Jane at all times. She's been such a help in this process and has really made it a joy to complete. Help has come from others at DBC in the way of tutoring with the maths and English sections I am completing alongside.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • This qualification has helped me further understand the sales process along with the wider scope. It's helped me understand buyers motivations and has improved my customer service skills. It has also greatly improved my confidence regarding the products I sell and identifying selling points and how these benefit my customers. Delving slightly into market research and intelligence I have gained more knowledge about my customers also.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Motus Commercials always run charity events and there are various other activities to get involved in, too. I've attended the CV show, ploughing matches, EV vehicle events both locally and nationally and enjoy getting involved in the competitions Motus run or the fun events they like to plan like bake sales, screaming to relieve stress along with completing other courses they make available to us.

  • 9a. Would you recommend MOTUS Commercials to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I think the community and the working environment within Motus Commercials is incredibly positive. The HR department really do get everyone involved in everything and my colleagues are all really helpful and supportive. The culture here is healthy and, for the most part, I think everyone really enjoys working for an active employer who really does care about their colleagues.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MOTUS Commercials?
  • Don't delay. Ask questions, take advantage of the knowledge around you and just get involved. Put your hand up if you're struggling as there is always someone who is willing to help. I think the communication between colleagues is really a key aspect of the role so talk to everyone and you'll find no end of positives about Motus Commercials.
