  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am an auditor at EY, where I'm responsible for sampling and testing accounts which we consider to have significant risk in the client that we are auditing, and ask questions to corroborate sufficient evidence to provide reasonable assurance. My day-to-day tasks include discussions with my team in order to allocate tasks and prioritize work, speaking to the client about any areas we are confused on or have recognised misstatements, and working through the audit process from the planning to testing to concluding the audit.

  • Significant support on multiple areas, as they provide subscriptions to so many libraries to improve knowledge on any topic I could learn about, and also provide mental health support if need be. They are also very understanding when personal circumstances occur and allow reasonable time away from work when needed.
