  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. I have learnt how to confidently manage conflict within the team as well as how to manage difficult team members. I have also learnt different management styles and skills that I am confident I will use going forward in the rest of my career within hospitality and can recognise my own management style and when to change it dependant on the situation

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I very much enjoy my programme. Although I do find the virtual classrooms a little boring and would prefer them to be a little bit more interactive than they are. I enjoy the fact I can work through the modules at my own pace and can do extra work ser in the virtual classrooms.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I have found some of the programme to be very well structured in the case of units and how they split into easy to navigate modules on Aptem. However not having a consistent learning coach has made some aspects of my training difficult. I have much more confidence now I have a new trainer and he has offered his support up until my epa

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have a lot of support from my employer. Not just my general manager but the assistant manager as well as the kitchen manager and other team leaders. I feel very well supported and encouraged from everyone in completing my programme. It helps having support from a variety of people as when one person does not have the answer another does.
