  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Personally i enjoyed the concept of an apprenticeship, university was not for me. I enjoyed the working life and having my own independence which comes with having a full time job. I really developed as a person whilst completing my apprenticeship and got exposed to many areas on site which i really enjoyed.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programmed seemed very organised and structured, we had a plan to rotate every six months to gain exposure across the business. We also had reflection time built into this programme where we would reflect on what we learnt and present to the other apprentices. However this plan went out of the window within the first month and didn't receive another plan for the remainder of my apprenticeship.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • the support depended on what team i was in at the time as i rotated across 4 teams, personally great support from 3/4. In one i felt although i was a nuisance and that they had no time to give the training. However speaking to other new starters we all had different experiences across the teams.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Plenty, all mangers where aware of my qualification and allowed me time to complete my qualification and take time out for my monthly calls and supported me if and when needed with responses to certain questions i had whilst completing the qualification. All four teams were great in this regard.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Could've been better. Personally don't see the logic in my qualification not linking in with CIPS which is the recognised as The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, formerly the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, is a global professional body working for the procurement and supply profession in many regions of the world.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are, social events regularly going out at weekend and we do an activity on founders day to raise money. However there are many professional networking events which we couldn't attend due to the lack of funding which i felt really affected my experience, as i could've built a stringer network with colleagues/ suppliers.
