  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Opening the business on a day to day basis, making sure the business is ready for daily service, making sure stock levels are correct, caring for the team, seating guests and making sure we meet the guests needs. following the correct procedures and daily managers tasks that have been set by marstons. Interacting with the chefs making sure the stock levels are correct on the till, find out if we need to upsell any item that is coming to its end of life in the next few days. Any specials the chefs would like to put on. Making sure our social media is up to date with events we are holding. Responsibilities are making sure the business is fit for purpose and all daily checks are complete. Work on what our next project is and what we are going to do to complete it.

  • I am learning new skills on a daily basis which has been helping me become more positive in myself.

  • a little, I have managed to near enough self teach myself with the help of this training that has been provided and by my tutors supporting me through it all.

  • so since I started my course I am now on my third tutor but the previous two have really supported and guided me through this course so thank you

  • By teaching me the little but big things in the hospitality industry I really did not know.

  • Yes

  • I feel that Marston's is a great company to work for, I have found that things have gone slightly down hill lately where as in the beginning they really wanted you to care about the guest journey where as now its about the labour and money.

  • work hard and you will get praise.
