I am team leader/manager, I open up and shut the shop. I ensure the diary is okay for the day and motivate the employees in the mornings with different targets and a brief overview of the day. I ensure the girls are happy with what they are doing and make sure they know about any offers that are on.
Yes, I have learnt a lot about myself and how to become self aware. I have learnt what type of manager I am and how to cope in a number of different situations. I am aware that I may be unconsciously biased and I didn’t know that was even a thing before I started my course.
I really enjoy learning and I like learning about myself and how to adapt in different situations. I really enjoy researching and completeling the different work shadows and researching for my assignments. My tutor has been amazing and is always there if I need him. All I need to do is drop him a message.
The programme is great. It is very well structured and I’ve been through a tough time whilst being on programme and my tutor has kept in touch and ensured he has motivated me to carry on. I have understood my targets and when they have needed to be met.
My employer is always supporting me no matter what it is. My boss is a great mentor and role model. I have learnt a lot from my boss and she inspires me every day to better myself and teach for the stars. We are a team at work and she’s always got our back.
My tutor is absolutely amazing. He is always there if I need something and the way he explains things to me is great. He knows if I’m not quite understanding something and explains things in a different way. I have felt support all the way through the apprenticeship.
I have learnt a lot and I apply everything I have learnt to my job role. I didn’t think I would have found it this interesting and learnt so much. I have really enjoyed applying the skills I have learnt to my job role. I am much more confident in my role.
There are a number of different things we do within work. I have been to a number of professional beauty awards where we see all the different trade stands and attend seminars. We are always up to date on the latest training and products. We always have a Christmas party and regular team meetings.
