  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am very much enjoying my programme. It has given me further skills, knowledge and understanding when it comes to managing a team. It has also given me an insight on how senior staff work and the tasks they have to complete as my course requires me to shadow them for specific things, for example, organisational management, project management etc.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme I am currently completing is organised very well. I have regular meetings with my assessor who gives me help and support and if I am stuck on a task, I can easily contact him for his assistance. The programme itself is structured very well, with set areas to be focused on, one at a time, i.e. operational management, all tasks relating to this are to be focused on at once before moving on to another area.

  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. They have given me help along the way by offering me additional duties so that I can complete my course while gaining the onsite understanding and skill set to do so. They have ensured I have adequate time to focus on the tasks I have set and increased my hours prior to starting the course to ensure I can dedicate six hours a week towards study.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are not any extra-curricular activities such as sports teams or networking events, however, my workplace holds weekly meetings via Microsoft Teams where things can be brought up and addressed in a relaxed environment. Some out of work activites are brought up in this meeting to make people aware such as a fundraising charirty curry night or quiz night.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I have worked in the Trust for 7 years and have found my time here to be enjoyable. Progression is encouraged as is further learning. Management are understanding when it comes to personal issues and there is always someone to over advice or assistance if required. Great place to work.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
  • I would say to ensure you are very thorough with your supporting statement, ensure you list all of your skills and knowledge and experience and explain why you are a great fit for that specific role. If you have questions, contact the recruiter via the contact details on the advert. This shows your interest.
