  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since starting this apprenticeship, I’ve learnt different skills and learned things I didn’t know. Not only learning things that I enjoy, but learning Maths alongside my apprenticeship to get me the grade. I’ve learnt skills in the kitchen that keep me and everyone safe around me and I have learnt all the safety equipment.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it. It keeps me motivated and busy and after work I have work to be doing to complete. It makes me remind myself I’ve got to do things and everyone is helpful towards the programme. It is also hard sometimes, but at the end it is rewarding.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is organised partly. I always remember if I have any meetings or anything booked and everything is normally all ready in my calendar. It’s structured pretty well, I meet my coach for a bit on my days off and sit down and do some of my apprenticeship work to see how I’m getting on.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think the more I learn about catering the better I will be. The work set really helps to understand and get to know everything around me in the kitchen. It also helps to know what safety measures I need and the different chopping boards that are needed.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No.
