I work shifts, which involves plant maintenance with fault finding. Every day is different and I learn something new every shift.
I’ve developed many skills, such as fault finding, problem solving, team working, communication and on the job hand skills.
I enjoy it to a high extent, as I am able to learn a lot whilst gaining knowledge from my engineers and mentors with plenty of help if there is something I don’t know.
The courses are well structured and fit nicely with college and NVQ.
I receive plenty of support and will always receive an answer for something I do not know, or I will have assistance to find out the answer.
I receive plenty of support when it comes to my training provider.
It increases my knowledge in which I can then apply it to my role.
There are a few but I haven’t taken part in any.
Yes
The scheme is very well structured and plenty of support and training is offered. There’s nothing to lose with the scheme.
Always try to increase your knowledge and know when to apply it. If you don’t know the answer to something, do everything you can to find out.
