  • Commercial finance role, looking at the PFME (marketing spend) and reconciling with the marketing team so it feeds correctly into the P&L account. As well as working with major customer Waitrose on pricing, promotions and invoice accuracy

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Communication skills with the wider business environment , eg marketing and commercial. Presentation skills to present key figures from Waitrose accounts and developing knowledge and understanding of the P&L through this process

  • Highly. I really enjoy the role and the team are really involving and collaboratively. Would highly recommend to upcoming graduates

  • Very well structured, they maintain a good balance with work and studying as I continue to progress through the levels of my CIMA qualification too.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Fantastic support, regular check ins are in place weekly in my calendar to progress check and to answer and queries or support I may need during my role

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Insightful levels of teaching and support are provided both off the job by Kaplan and on the job by Nestle to provide that real world context to enhance my understanding

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • CIMA allows me to understanding my roles and responsibilities in finance because it helps to be able to easily understand and interpret the processes and lines in the balance statement and profit loss accounts through the business

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are several professional networking events that I have attended since starting in the role, but also graduate development weeks hosted by L&D and HR to ensure I am getting a holistic understanding of the business too

  • Yes

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestle?
  • Be yourself. You have been recruited for your professionalism but also how you are as a person, they want young people coming into the business to give a fresh pair of eyes into processes and other areas so always get involved where you can !
