  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am on a 4 year programme which allows me to do 4 rotations which has meant firstly i have started in supply chain. I currently work on a transport execution team and go through an operational working style with a team of about 10 people. Its an option to go in 2 days a week however i feel like learning on the job has been the most effective when i go in everyday and i have been able to meet other young graduates and apprentices as well as working alongside my manager in the office to offer experience in the business world.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy learning on the job and having the academic side of it for more knowledge. The past 5 months have enabled me to learn so much and increase my knowledge in business. Getting the experience of a business office and the operations that comes along with has helped me develop a great joy to work and be part of a big company.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I feel a lot of support through getting university days to focus on task work needed as well as having the ability to ask for more workload if needed or balance the day to day jobs. My manager has been so understanding and ensured that i have the focus i need as well as making me aware that hes there if i need him.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • After working on a couple of the university assessments already, i have been able to link this to my work such as leadership styles and team personalities really matching to my day to day experiences within the business.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are networking groups to support pride and equality within the workplace. I have also heard about a men's football team being set up in one of the teams. My team has just recently it together a run club which we are doing gym classes with to help each other stay active. This is something which i feel you could create yourself if you have the vision and the support from peers.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Nestle to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Its been a great experience to open myself up to a professional workplace as well as still having that community feel to help you not feel alone when going into a large company like Nestle. I highly reccommend to anyone who is interested in getting the degree but also wanting to be hands on in a job role as its fast pace and very rewarding.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestle?
  • Make sure to be yourself and bring every part of yourself ! Nestle wants to here all about you and what kind of personality you have, after all we are all people ! Make sure to have some overall knowledge of the course and an idea of Nestles values as a company as this is important when trying to align yourself in a company.
