  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Because of my role on a day-to-day basis I complete a register check of the students that are in the school, i will let in the children who are late and then follow up with children who have not attended school. I interact with parents and children daily also, this can be helping out with the children but also parent quires and problems.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed the confidence to speak to new people but it has given me experience and knowing of ways to handle certain situations, this is important because it makes you more prepared. I have learnt how to use various different software, such as work and other Microsoft applications. Being in the job i do i also have to learn about MIS systems and different legislation and policies.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love my program, i love my workplace not only because of the job but because of how rewarding it is. I enjoy completing my work as i find it quite manageable but if ever i need help my tutor is also there to help me out when i need it. The people i work with are also great and also help out when you need it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program is very organised, i receive work monthly this is usually when i have had a teams meeting with my tutors, which is also monthly. this keeps me on top of work. The work is organised which helps with completing it as i find sometimes it is difficult to complete it when its messy. The work is clear and also has the criteria.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive immense support from my employer, if i need time to complete my work they are always there to accommodate that need. If i am struggling they are always helpful and supportive to the best they can, this is the same if i need help finding someone to do for my work, they will guide me in the right direction.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My tutor is always helpful when it comes to my work and bettering myself, so that i get the best chance of receiving my qualification. My tutor also gives me criticism on my work good or bad, and this helps me to realise where i need to improve or do better at my work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification gives me the knowledge and i use it when working, when completing work for my apprenticeship program i learn new things all of the time and whenever i do i try to use it when working as it improves my performance at work. The work is always relevant to my job, and useful.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are always meetings available for us to attend, my organisation offers training if it is something that we would like to complete. The trust has recently had a Trust wide PD day, during this i took part in a teams training meeting about stakeholders communications, this helped me with communicating to stakeholders, such as parents and also Attendance mark training, this helped with knowing what to put children as when they are absent.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Academy Transformation Trust to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are a good company and always listen to any concerns you may have, they always take this into account. Own organisation also puts staff well-being as something of importance, which i believe it should also be a main priority. They are always coming up for solutions to problems and this is great.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Academy Transformation Trust?
  • This company is great, working in a job like this which children, you have to try and be as confident as possible because it reassures people that you know what you are doing even if you don't.
