  • Carrying out audits and site assessments for all field operatives carrying out any work which falls under NERS.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, completed my level 2 and 3 highways electrical and power distribution through the apprenticeship. Going on to become a fully trained cable jointer/ highways electrician for 7 years. Which I then progressed to team supervisor and completing my level 3 team leader/supervisor course.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed my apprenticeship, I got to meet loads of new people and achieve a number of different qualifications.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Everything was well planned and organised we used to get a full plan for the year with any upcoming training or college dates.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My supervisor and apprenticeship manager was always available to help with any problems or issues.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • During our time at Oldham college trainer used to help with questions and was very clear and knowledgeable on the topic.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Very well, I've gone on to progress to two different roles with in the business

  • We used to have social activities a few times a year to help with team bonding

  • Yes

  • My career with this company has been really enjoyable and successful and couldn't fault it at all.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON?
  • The more time and effort you put into it the more you will get out of the training program.
