  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role as a Change Lead consists of analysis on existing processes and journeys to find and support with improvements within the wider business. Day to day I will create and relay business readiness activities to ensure the operation is ready for any changes that are due to land and impact their areas.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Within this role and since completing my apprenticeship, I have used project documentation such as RAID logs, Issue Management processes and benefit cases to support, and manage improvements I work on.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed the programme, learning about in depth methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile, but taking on a better understanding of how to manage a project from start to finish, regardless of the business sector you sit within.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I found at times the structure changed due to changes within the programme for new people starting the coarse, which slightly impacted our year, but this was overcome with the help of my trainer.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer was very supportive, giving me time where needed to ensure that I completed work associated with the course, in the timeframes given. they also supported me in my end review.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Regular catch up's and sessions for me to go through any questions I have, and to provide insight of next steps along the course.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel this supported the job that I previously had as well as the new role i'm currently in as it provided me with knowledge around project management and how to navigate through Change plans, which is what I currently work on.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Throughout my years at E.ON, the company has allowed me to develop my skill set, and provided me with opportunities that will support me outside of the Energy sector.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON?
  • Be keen to learn and take up opportunities as they arise. Any experience even outside of the energy sector, can be applied to a role at E.ON, just focus on your key achievements that can show you being customer focused and an interest for problem solving.
