  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a project manager i move around to different placements every 6 months. During my current placement i am working in diversity and inclusion, aiming to improve our hiring practices and make E.ON even more inclusive through networks and development programmes.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, i have developed skills in time management, presentation skills, confidence in project meetings, using excel pivot tables and vlookup.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love the programme i am on, i have the opportunity to gain access to a whole host of different experiences and expand my network through attending events and meetings.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is organised well with actively involved mentors who know the university content inside out to ensure they can help us gain experience for our off the job training.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Alot of supprot. As someone who is neurodiverse i have recieved alot of support from the business to make me feel comfortable at work and excel in the projects i am involved in. I feel very supported

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • York St. John is a good provider. They offer support frequently through my work based learning tutor, who i can speak to at any time and my lecturer really makes me feel like i can go to him any time for extra support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The information i learn through the course i am encouraged to put into practice in my role. This helps me solidify my knowledge.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are many networks including embRace, menopause cafe, neurodiversity, and many religious groups. As well as that there are football teams to join. the business encourges people to join as many networks as possible

  • 9a. Would you recommend E.ON to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are supportive, and really want you to do well. i also believe they really are invested in you and want you to succeed. The pay is good, the location is good, the support they give is great.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON?
  • Reseach the business before interview to ensure you know what the business is currently working towards so you are confident during interview. Show your authentic self, E.ON are looking for potential not the polished article so show them what potential you have!
