  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • The role involves working in audit teams to provide services to our clients. learning on the job is a massive part of the day to day life at KPMG. Some days involve going out to client site, some involve working from home and some days in the office working in audit teams.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills and developed those already in progress. this is through the both the systems in place at KPMG which allow us to work on the job and in college whilst studying for exams to go towards us achieving our apprenticeship. This is a key feature of life at KPMG.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am very much enjoying my programme at KPMG. There are lots of opportunities to engage socially with other members of the company and develop relationships here. Whilst working, there is opportunity for wellbeing whilst working hard and staying busy. Working hard in big teams is great fun and makes the day go fast.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well organised. it includes blocks of college study with time scheduled in to study for exams. the dates for the exams are set well into the future. this allows us to fully prepare ourselves to take on the exams. work calendars are also set out so we know what jobs we are on.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • BPP provide plenty of support throughout our time at college to ensure we are ready with the content and our understanding is there ready for the exam. content for upcoming exams is there in time so we can fully prepare ourselves. there are plenty of help lines for any queries

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i feel the training we receive from our training providers really gives us the required understanding of different accounting areas that we can then use to perform to our maximum capability at work. it gives us the fundamentals in place that we can then develop further whilst in action at work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • at work there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with social events. this brings the whole department together and allows us to form relationships with co-workers. i also get involved with the football activities and this gives a good opportunity to refresh ourselves ready for the next day at work.

  • Yes

  • i would recommend working at KPMG to a friend as i have no regrets in choosing this career path and every day at work involves learning and enjoying working with colleagues. the salary is good and the work-life balance is really good for ensuring our lifestyle is good enough to work effectively.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • getting involved with the company values is key to learning more about the company and getting in a good position to be ready for the role. asking questions is vital to development at all stages of life at KPMG. this includes both in the application stage of the job and once started working for KPMG.
