  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Dealing with daily HR issues, updating processes, liaising with senior management and board of directors on ongoing issues and business changes. leading a small team of 3 people on business admin and external sales/client administration. Dealing with clients throughout the UK and managing their employee benefits packages and integrated benefits platform.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of new skills on my apprenticeship. As this is specifically a HR diploma, these have included enhancing my previous HR knowledge, learning about specialist employment law and also the CIPD programmes and help available. I have also learnt a lot on our internal processes and updates which are needed.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am thoroughly enjoying the programme and the help that i am being given. The assignments are clear and precise, it also really helps that we have tutor led sessions per unit as this provides classroom teaching and the opportunity to speak with other people who are studying at the same level.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised. We are provided with platforms to log our own learning along with our off the job hours. We also have meetings with our assessor and tutors throughout the programme to ensure we are on track with assignments and the course in general. We also have meetings with my employer.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. this is ongoing (daily) with my operations director who involves me in business decisions and takes on board my ideas and opinions, I also attend a monthly Senior management meeting with our board of directors where we discuss any changes needed and ongoing issues.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • i receive a lot of support via email, over the phone, web meetings and also live sessions. I know the training provider is on hand when i need them and they also regularly check in on me to ensure everything is ok and to see if any help is needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have noticed a huge difference in the way i manage certain in house processes and policies since starting my course. my employer has also commented on this as i am querying things more and also have documents/processes to work through to help them when making a decision for our team.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, we host a team sports day ever summer which is very popular. We also have regular activities such as bowling, cinema trips and escape rooms. We hold our annual christmas party each year and take on board employee feedback when looking at where to book each year. This includes a full 3 course meal and the option of a hotel stay.

  • The company goes above and beyond to help individuals on their learning journey. you are treated with respect and feel valued which is so important. you are more than a number, you are an individual and they ensure you feel recognised. I would certainly recommend to anyone who is exploring options.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Enjoy Benefits?
  • Be prepared to work hard and to also be recognised for your hard work. You need to be a team player and be self motivating when managing your workload and assignments. Being part of the team means you have internal discussions and also external client discussions and your workload may increase/decrease on a daily basis.
