  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Completing my degree apprenticeship helped me to both learn new skills and develop existing skills. I had previous experience in marketing, strategy and finance which were covered on the apprenticeship and which helped me to cement my previous learnings, however the apprenticeship also covered new areas such as operations and learning and development as well as considerable time for personal and professional reflection

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed my apprenticeship programme - it was challenging and required a significant personal commitment but I feel I have gained a great deal by developing skills I already had as well as adding new skills and areas of knowledge. I also enjoyed the opportunity to network with other apprentices

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe the programme overall was well structured with a good balance between more academic modules and more practical subjects and did include multiple opportunities for self reflection and driving self development. Some modules were impacted by the covid pandemic and study days moved to virtual rather than in person days

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I think the support has varied depending on the different modules of the apprenticeship - for some of the more structured modules the course leaders have been very helpful and hands on in providing support, whereas other modules have been more about self directed learning. My project supervisor was very helpful and made a real difference to my research project
