  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role in the shop could consist of being on the tills and therefore serving customers or it could consist of working delivery pallets that are delivered to increase the stock on the shelf but there are so many tasks throughout the day that need to be completed which every task will positively impact the customers

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed skills in in communication to be able to talk to customers if help is needed and able to talk to fellow colleagues to benefit and help give the customers the best possible experience when shopping in the store l.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The apprenticeship is enjoyable as it has given me a lot of new skills and has helped me develop as a person and as a store assistant it helps make me more confident in the store as well as being able to help customers with their problems if needed.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is organised well as it gives me the opportunity to develop new and existing skills that I can use to benefit customer lad or fellow colleagues. It also gives me the opportunity to learn new skills that I can use and will help me in the future.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support I receive from my employer is massive as they are always teaching me new things that can help me develop and will help me with my progression throughout the apprenticeship and always make sure I understand every task that I am being given and if not sure will always receive that support to make sure I do

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider helps a lot as they make sure everything is going well and if not can help me be more confident to understand and can help me develop and improve throughout the apprenticeship and throughout the experience of the apprenticeship

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification helps preform better as I am given an understanding ok what is asked with me and can help me develop and further improve my skills towards the job and and can let me learn new skills which I can further use in the work place.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • In my work a lot of the staff enjoy football, most of us during the weekend play against other staff members from other stores and can help bond the staff members which could have a positive impact in the store by bonding me with other staff members and can create a better relationship with all the staff

  • Yes

  • I think it would be a great opportunity for them, which they can learn new skills and can develop and improve existing skills which they can use in the workplace and can help them develop in a different environment which could positively help them and their career for the future


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • My tips to others when applying to the job for Aldi would be to be enthusiastic, ask questions and make sure you are ready to give 100% effort to the job as it is required as the environment you are is a very physical and will require 100% to be effective
