  • My role involves regular stakeholder engagement, providing support and facilitating stakeholders through processes. I have worked on a number of business improvement projects and fulfilling projects,

  • Learning is encouraged at Mott MacDonald as learning opportunities are frequent. During my time I have learned how to better build relationships, stakeholder engagement, business analysis and technical skills

  • Team are very supportive of apprentices and respectful of boundaries so I am able to effectively work on my programme.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My line manager is extremely supportive and is happy to provide input/feedback on assignments and provides excellent support from a wellbeing point of view. However, improvements can be made more generally to build better communities to support and learn from fellow apprentices.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are frequent social events amongst Early Careers Professionals and arranged by the local office. There are many opportunities to get involved in extra-curricular initiatives in areas that interest you but you are left to your own devices to find professional networking events.

  • Mott MacDonald is an extremely welcoming and inclusive environment which prides itself on producing positive social outcomes. There is never a dull moment in Mott MacDonald as there is always an interesting project that we are delivering some where around the world.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mott MacDonald?
  • Assessment Days: Get involved and feel free to speak and ask questions to the staff facilitating your day (everyone is friendly). Look for opportunities to apply for the summer work experience programme.
