Mechanical maintenance Fitter role as an apprentice involves training to become a maintenance Fitter. Fitting new parts, keeping equipment maintained, checks on the lifespan of components.
Pipe fitting, gasket making, gearbox maintenance, fluid system work, crane driving, fork lift driving.
To a great extent, its enjoyable to go to work.
Quite well organised with college, university, courses and site time.
Great support with in and out of work issues.
Time off work to go to education, time off work to revise for exams, supporting material given.
Better my knowledge of how systems work and why they are in place.
