I am a HR Assistant within Recruitment sub-team of wider HR Team. I am responsible for the attraction strategy for several business areas from a PR & Marketing perspective. I also lead our EVP strategy and manage photoshoots.
I have learned more around Employment Law and the UK Labour Market. I have increased my confidence in group situations.
I find the programme very interesting. There was initially no time between assignments which when working 40 hours minimum per week was challenging however the introduction of a 2 week break between assignments made this more manageable. CIPD assignment topics have now changed and seem more relevant 2022 onwards.
My LDC is very helpful. The course is clearly set our in terms of deadlines and expectations. As noted above the introduction of 2 week breaks between assignments made this more manageable. Speaking to other colleagues there is some inconsistencies in the level of support received.
My Manager is very supportive and will arrange additional time with me whenever needed. They have also supported with assignment support which is greatly appreciated. As a company however it is expected for all learnings and work to be completed in your own time and some tasks do not fit within my current role making it more difficult to resonate and review.
My LDC and tutor are very helpful and quite accessible. My LDC allows the meeting structure to flow in the way I need it to as opposed to structuring this too much which I find useful.
Some of the assignments have been useful however some of the topics colleagues are completing since the new 2022 CIPD structure change seem more relevant. It has definitely pointed me in the right direction in terms of what types of information I should be aware of and where to find information/ good resources.
We have charity partnership with regular activities to fundraise.
