  • My role involves sourcing goods and services for BMW at the right price, place, quantity, quality and time. This includes creating contracts, reviewing documents, running tenders and engaging with suppliers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Nearly all the skills I've learnt have been new! My proficiency in all Microsoft office apps have developed, especially excel and I have learnt to improve my professional verbal and written communication.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • No job is perfect but I look forward to going into the office and working with my team every week! A degree apprenticeship is the perfect way of gaining experience and further education simultaneously, minus the debt!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The concept of degree apprentices within my department is relatively new so there are some new obstacles to tackle, but in general my management are more than happy to support and ensure I have everything I need to succeed

  • Very thorough support in all aspects, professional and personal

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Lecturers are always happy to help, even outside of core teaching hours, to ensure you fully understand the content. Most tutors/teachers are on hand via teams messages or emails to answer any queries. Regular 121s and catch ups to track progress as well as designated training coordinator

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Much of the information on the course can be applied to my day-to-day role, such as modules about different styles of leadership. It encourages your personal development and knowledge in a range of business related areas.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a few but most sports teams are unfortunately for men only

  • Yes

  • Exceptional personal and professional career development. They are always keen to support and push you if you put hard work in. Great opportunities for development and for learning new skills after college.
