  • I lead the team in order to provide great customer service , I ensure the shift is ran smoothly and efficiently. I help my GM but helping him run the pub . We ensure all our meals and drinks are served to a high quality and that the customer enjoys their visit

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt numerous new skills especially in the office on the computer , my manager has shown confidence in me and has shown me how to do new tasks and skills . My confidence has grown hugely because of this . My new skills have ensure I can do my job to the best of my ability

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy learning new skills , the programme has made me realise what it takes to get the best out of my job and my work colleagues. I can bring the new skills I have learnt into my workplace to help other staff to develop theirs too . I hugely recommend the programme to others

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well organised with monthly reviews and targets . My trainer is easy to contact if I gave any questions or problems during my programme. He is helping me greatly and never puts any pressure on me . I can work at my own pace which helps greatly due to my work commitments

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My Manager always encourages me to try s as me learn new skills . He has helped my confidence by showing his confidence in me . He asks how the programme is getting on and if I need any help from him with any of the work that I have been assigned

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My trainer is easily contacted if I need any help. He always answers my messages quickly and showing encouragement. He never makes me feel like I am under pressure to complete my assignments. He sets reasonably targets which helps greatly . His confidence in me gives me confidence to want to complete my programme

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I can bring more new skills to my role in my workplace . The things I have learnt help in a way I did not know about . My employer is greatly appreciated by any new skills I can bring and show to other members of staff . In all new skills help me a lot

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Greene King has app called Fourth which includes Kingdom which contains any networking events within the company . We have a running club which raises money for Macmillan charity each year . We are trying to start a staff quiz team so we can compete against other pub quiz teams to raise money for charity

  • 9a. Would you recommend Greene King to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Greene king care about their staff , for example during the covid panademic they paid their staff before furlough was announced . They have awards evening where pubs and staff are honoured for all their hard work . I do feel proud to say I work for Greene king as I feel part of not a company but a family


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
  • Be yourself and you will learn so many different things and new skills . Greene king have shorn us that they care about the staff and their well being , if you put the hard work in then you will be rewarded hugely by Greene king. Take the plunge and apply , you won’t regret it
