  • Mechanical Engineering, so doing practical work and theory

  • I have learnt more on how to work on an engine and know how to strip it down and rebuild it

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It is sometimes very involving and interesting with lots of things to learn, but sometimes there are days where i don't get given much work and so i get bored.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I thought it was well organised but it was rushed abit, but it was to a benefit so we can be working in different placements and jobs

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I don't really know to be honest, I just tend to ask my supervisors for support and they provide it very well

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I dont ask for much support from college, i just get on and figure it out myself

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am not sure at the moment, but I feel that its going along smoothly in terms of where we are in our learning outcomes.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are clubs that we can join in the evenings, but at the moment there isn't much going on as weather isnt great and other people are too busy or don't have the money to pay/join.

  • 9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • they offer a very wide range of roles that you can do and there are many ways of trying lots of different things once you are in that role. Also you get to experience great things in BAE Systems that no other person can do (etc)


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Just be confident and happy with applying and know that you will be supported once you are in the company.
