  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy that we only spend 1 year in each placement as it allows us to see lots of variety across the business and gives us exposure to lots of business areas.

    10/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • There was lots of training and the skills coaches are available as well as the scheme lead but there are lots of us and not many of them so they may not always be available if they are helping others.

    9/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have plenty of support, the scheme lead is very supportive and bases our roles and extra responsibilities on what we need to develop. There is also a good buddy system for when you start to help you get settled in.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is some support and they are happy to answer questions in sessions but questions are badly written and confusing at times, made worse by changing deadlines and more work than we were told we would have per semester.

    4/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Some of the topics we have done have been relevant such as the scheduling basics but some finance and procurement topics are not as relevant to project managers and I don't think I would use the knowledge I have learned in my role.

    5/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are sports teams to get involved in when tournaments are organised and there are always work related opportunities like stretch assignments available to fill any down time during work hours,

    9/10

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
