  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is a social media assistant. Day to day I have to monitor the social networks where we release content, create the copy to go live on social, create reports from the social in order to see where we can improve as well as aiding the marketing assistants with their roles.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • When I started my role I did not have a great deal of experience with digital marketing. I had previously worked in more face to face roles so I have developed my skills in this area significantly. I have learnt how to market materials more wisely as well as catering to our clients.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying the programme significantly. The freedom in choosing when I complete my work is allowing me to complete my daily tasks to the highest standard I can. The programme has been engaging and informative and is helping me to develop new skills which I can carry forward into future roles, as well as my current role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well organised. I am aware of what tasks I need to complete and when I need to complete them for as well as the progress I am making. Having this progress in Bud and all my work uploaded to this site means it is easily accessible and can be monitored by my trainer too.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a great amount of support from my training provider. They have been quick to respond to any queries I may have as well as reviewing any assignments that I have completed and ensuring that I have fulfilled all criteria that is necessary. I have also got their contact details for if I need any further assistance.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • So far my qualification is helping me to gain more knowledge that I wouldn't necessarily be able to learn in by day to day role. As a large focus is on social media, this qualification is helping to expand that into more digital marketing areas so I can bring this knowledge across and help better our marketing strategies.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Due to the current circumstances there are less extra-curricular activities. However my work provides the whole company with 2 volunteering days a year which we are hoping to use in order to help raise money for charity. We also have 'team office days' which ensures we are remaining social as a team.
