  • We are focusing on getting an overview of various sections within the company meaning we spend roughly 3 months on each section on the shop floor alongside the college work we are completing

  • I've developed not only physical skills such as hand fitting techniques, but also developed my confidence in presentations and communicating.

  • I am really enjoying my program and look forward to the future steps

  • once explained too me there is a clear structure in place, however it can be flexible to suit me if I had any strong preferences or aims to be in a certain area.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive as much support as I ask for, this is a fair way of doing this as it helps me build confidence asking for help when required but also allows me to be confident that I am not alone on this course

  • The training provider can be contacted via email and will provide support to an extent depending on the questions asked, they have a lot of resources available and can point you in the right direction to access them

  • My qualification gives me the extra confidence in my own abilities to allow me to complete my role better a work

  • These activities have been limited due to Covid so I have not properly explored them

  • It is an accepting company that is nice to work for, i feel noticed and appreciated so would recommend it to anyone in this industry


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems (UK) Ltd?
  • Just be confident in yourself, I was the youngest person at my interview but was still offered an apprenticeship, don't try and be more than what you are just work to your strengths.
