Every 3 months i change area to get a full understanding off the buisness and to see what i area i would like to develop in. From being able to move around i have found a passion within the quality team along with robotics.
i have learnt IPC crimping and soldering, electronics, pneumatics, software, and mechanics, along with learning how to machine and create documetns such as SOPS and drawings.
I love the programme and have the ability to talk to many peers when i have questions and to set up meetings with the relevant people when i am intrested in an area.
the programme is structures amazingly, with the first year being away from fractory and living in a hotel to the second year getting hands on and getting to knoe the products we produce within KB. the third year has a 3 month oriantation to lean new areas of the buisness and to find an area i want to develop and the team i want to join after the apprentiship.
i recive alot of support from my employer with monthly catch-up meetings and managers who have my beck on a day to day basis.
whiltst at college i got amazing support but during BTEC years the college could have done better. But that was due too covid and the college having to move online.
the qualification helps when i move around the buisness but i strongly agree the college should see the factory to then be made aware of extra qualifications which is not needed in this buisness.
there are many networking events KB join in on and if asked we can get involved in more activities.
Yes
its a brilliant company to work for along with peers being amazing and highly skilled in their chosen area with lots of knoledge you can gain.
Ask as many questions, no question is a silly question. if you dont know what field you fully want to go into this is perfect as you get a full insight of differnt areas of a german company.
