  • Accountable for 20-25 staff in a public house setting with 6 of those forming my pub leadership team, day to day running of the business to the company values and leading and motivating my team to be able to meet the company goals and objectives through innovation and engagement with the use of new and differing technology and communication techniques.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my leading skills, motivating techniques and way in which I manage mine and my teams time following directive approaches to meet the companies overall strategic plan, ways to meet goals and achieve objectives. Project planning from start to finish and how to understand leadership styles and techniques.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I found the programme to be highly informative and interesting throughout keeping me engaged and informed. My coaches were of the highest standard and really helped me to develop my skill set throughout the course, I particularly enjoyed planning and executing my project with my project management team and how decisions that I make impact the wider audience.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I found the programme to be well structured and organised and the break down of subjects and modules was both excellently developed and structured. The webinars and web content even though was remotely due to covid was delivered professionally and to a standard that was completely understandable and thorough, clear and concise.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer gave me support throughout in terms of ways to be able to manage my time and the tools I needed to be able to research and conduct my modules and to be able to execute my project from start to finish. Clear communication throughout the course from start to finish with a high level of support.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My Training provider gave me high levels of support throughout my course, regular check ins and a clear structure to be able to both keep me on track with all the work and ensure that I had a clear direction of how and when to be able to achieve all the workings I needed to reach the end.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The knowledge provided from my training provider will help me to be able to clearly develop my team and further teams and leaders throughout my job role. It will help me to be able to plan and execute projects perfectly and be able to develop high performing teams to be able to meet the companies strategic plan.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I think what it has done is given me the confidence and knowledge to be able to work with external stake holders of my business to be able to support and develop each other in both the local community and to the wider audience and what it means for those relationships to flourish.

  • Greene king has given me the tools, knowledge and time to be able to develop my team. Greene king supports and develops individuals like me to be able to succeed throughout careers. Regular check ins and help with all aspects from knowledge, self worth and self development also dealing with mental health and diversity.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
  • Greene king is a thoughtful and helpful company that cares about the employees that work for them. You are not just a number, you matter and mean something to the development of your self and the business that you work in and run and you understand how you contribute to the bigger plan and how that matters.
