  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I lead a team of carers to ensure a high level of care is provided to service users. I provide support to colleagues and service users and try to ensure that everyone’s concerns are dealt with promptly. I have a mixed role that includes office/admin work and providing care.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am currently learning all the time. I feel I do have good knowledge of what i need to be doing to ensure I am meeting my job role description. I do feel that no matter what job role you work in there is always room to learn and grow

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have been on a six month break due to having lots to complete in my Kobe role, which meant I did not have to study. I have only just restarted my programme, so far I am enjoying it and look forward to learning new skills to help me within my role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured I receive emails to arrange review dates that suit me, I also find reschseduling due to a busy work schedule is easily accommodated. I do sometimes feel a bit confused with the way some of the work to complete is set. I know if I need support it is there.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive and is willing to move my work schedule around to help me fit in study time. I feel very supported and encouraged to grow with my current job role. I know if I need help with work I don’t understand my employer will help me to understand this.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel I am supported by my training provider. Although some of the ways experience us scored I’m not sure I would agree with. I feel In my role I should be scoring high on things such as empathy, however I was told it needed to score low to begin with to show improvement.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel my qualification is helping to really concentrate on certain aspects of my role. It is making look deeper into meaning and different ways of working to ensure I am supporting service users and support workers. So far I have found it to be very beneficial to my current role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No we don’t not currently have anything like this. However the company had kit long opened the island branch so maybe in the future there may be a chance of them arranging som social activities for staff. I’m sure this would be listened to if suggested by staff.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Nobilis to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have found Nobilis to be very supportive employers. They push me to reach my goals. When taking in the job role I had been a support worker for 8 years so had a lot of skills essential for my job, however I hadn’t had a managerial Top role before. I was made to feel That I more than capable and any support I needed would be provided.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nobilis?
  • I would say to ensure you are coming into the role for the right reasons. You really do need to be a caring person to work with the care sector. If you feel you are tight for the role then Nobilis us a great company to work and grow with.
