  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I learn transferrable skills within my university course which I am able to use within my day to day role. Most of my modules have been linked to work I carry out daily allowing me to put these skills into action. This is because my degree is digital marketing, the same as my job role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There have been social activities put on during celebratory times of the year such as Christmas and Easter where teams get together to take part in challenges virtually. There are also quizes hosted by other apprentices on a regular basis to allow us to meet other team members as it is more difficult online.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Unilever have been a fantastic employer throughout the recruitment process, onboarding and setting my employment up throughout the first 9 months of my apprenticeship. If I have ever had any issues I am able to easily reach out to someone to help find a solution. They also offer great benefits and other employees are great to work alongside.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • I would advice applicants to research into the company and the position they are applying for to prepare them for the interview process. I would also suggest training on interview skills to prepare for the application process. Also, to be confident within the interview to show interviewers that you'd be a good candidate for the role.
