  • Apprentice student nurse, delivering care and support for mental health patient in the community, planning care plan, overseeing of management of medications. avoiding crisis and hospital admission. supporting patient from a range of mental health issues from anxiety, depression, eating disorder and personality disorder. supporting patient to have a fulfilling in the community

  • learning and developing skills in administrating and management of medication, communication skill, developing skills in identifying verbal and non verbal skills, working within the nurses and midwifery council code of conduct. The legal and moral duty of care require in providing person centred care to individuals with in the care setting

  • the programme is well structured taking into consideration all the important element of work and personal life balance, however the structured was not ready for the global pandemic which disrupted the process of learning. however the trust ensure the learning process continue during the pandemic and reasonable adjustment was arrange

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer has been very supportive, making reasonable adjustment within my working shift pattern. the employer is providing me with all the important setting and equipment to achieve and complete my learning development. the management team has been fantastic, the student support group set up by the trust has been very productive

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • so far its been a mixed result when it come to support from the training provider. some of the tutor has been brilliant and providing great advise and support, some has been unreachable. The university website is easily accessible. Tutorial has been easy to access, being an online university, we were more prepare with new way of learning than other university students

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • completing the qualification will allowed me to register with the nursing and midwifery council as a registered nurse. being a register nurse would open several opportunity in my nursing career. the qualification is recognise all over the UK, it will also give me opportunity to move up my career ladder

  • the trust have a wellbeing session arrange for student every months. during the session, mindfulness, yoga and wellbeing chat are common features. the trust is also equip with gym for staffs and student. There are training opportunity available within the trust. due to pandemic most of the training and learning opportunities has move into webinar

  • Northampton Healthcare foundation Trust has received a outstanding rating by CQC for excellent care provided to service users and for looking after the welfare of its staffs. The trust protect it staffs by providing a zero tolerance to any kind of abuse towards its staffs member. the trust promote leadership skills


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
  • application to join the NHFT trust is very easy and straight forward, the interview process is fair and the trust ensure any reasonable adjustment to facilitate the process. the trust is a very proactive in encouraging career progress and development for all the staffs very friendly atmosphere for career development.
