I work alongside more experienced colleagues and help with smaller tasks that are in areas I'm familiar with. I get a lot of support and I am always able to ask for extra support when I need it. I also do online training and college days that help me understand KPMG and its values, as well as learn all the necessary knowledge to complete the exams and gain my qualification at the end of the course.
I have developed a lot of my excel skills as it is a program we use on a regular basis. I have learnt a lot on different tools and programs we use and I have gained skills in these areas. I have worked on my skills of working with clients and how to interact in a professional, but not intimidating way.
I really enjoy the program and I have learnt a lot along the way. Covid-19 has made things a lot more difficult than it should have been as everything has been online, so I haven't had the chance to meet my colleagues face-to-face, but this hasn't stopped me from enjoying the experience.
It is very well organised with the use of an online scheduling system. You are able to see what you are booked to do over several months, and check where you are more available. You can see when your training is booked and roughly when the exams are.
There are multiple people available for support, ranging from a buddy, who is a year above and going through the same course, to more senior support from a performance manager, who monitors your progress throughout your apprenticeship. You can talk to anyone booked to the same client as you for help on a task.
They are always available to contact if you need extra help and support, even after the classes are over.
It has improved my performance considerably as I have a better understanding on the procedures I perform and what the client does.
Yes there are a number of social activities available from office to office, and they are a lot of fun.
Yes
It is a brilliant opportunity and experience.
Be yourself and try your best. They're really nice and accepting people.
