  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is in the IGH department, so on a typical day i would have a meeting at 9am for half an hour where i would get told a bunch of tasks. then throughout the day i have to make sure that i complete all the tasks. and if i need help on guidance i would ask someone for it, then at the end of the day we would review the work i have done.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i really enjoyed the programme as to where we get help and guidance and get to experaince a lot of different things. But i was saddened that they did change the programme 7 months in to the apprenticeship. To a consulting only one, when it was supposed to be that we go to Audit, Tax, Advisory too.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • They provide us with a lot of help and support when it comes to exams. especially because we have been in a pandemic, they have done really well. and if soemone struggles we can easily find someone that we can go to for help. and they provide a lot of materials and resources.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • a lot, it has been a really difficult period to start as we were mid pandemic. but they have weekly meetings with us, they provided us with a buddy for help. They make sure that we are on track and if we need support, we know who to go to .

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A moderate ammount, they give us the study week where they teach s everything. then the online tasks to complete. Personally i would prefer if it was a physical learning environment, because it would be easier to ask questions. Because when we are doing it over a call there is over 80 people so its quite hard being able to ask questions.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i dont personally, i feel like eveyrhting i have learnt so far from my trianing provider has nothing to do with my Consulting role at all. so i havent applied one thing i have learnt yet to my role. and i see the trianing provider there, just to get a qualification

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yess there is, there is extra things we can do. For example i helpt to put a work lockdown cookbook together. There is coffee catch ups, and there is also a lot of events that we can attend and go to. i do wish there was more activities that we could join physically.

  • 9a. Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it is nice to get experiance in the BIg 4, and it is a recognised company. So for the recognition i woud advise people to come to KPMG. and you get a lot of experiance and learn a lot of things that would have never known before you came there.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • Come in with an open mind, be willing to learn new things. remember to ask for help when you need it and dont overstress your self. make sure tell them things that you want to learn and get more experiance in because there will be somone that can help you get there.
