  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt multiple skills from soft to technical skills, KPMG has helped me improve with my technical skills keeping a DevOps learning track which ensures as a new joiner to the field you know the essentials and understand the day to dat terminology. I also took part in the 10 week python session held by a KPMG colleague who went through the python fundamentals and for someone who was totally new to python! this was very helpful

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme as on a day to day basis I am always learning and solving problems . At the beginning when I was new to the DevOps culture everything seemed very alien and as if i had to know everything in order to succeed but this is not the case you are NOT expected to know everything but know where to find the right information/help when completing day to day tasks.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of my programme is pretty clear you are essentially put into a easier role at the start of your career and form there you are also put into different service teams that will help to improve your technical and soft skills further once you feel confident to move out of your current team you can move onto a service team of your choice space permitted and positions open

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a-lot of support form my employer as there is so many people/groups to help as I have a manager then a performance manager and a huddle leader who I can immediately turn too if I need any assistance/ help or the apprentice team who are very helpful and happy to answer questions and set up calls especially in this virtual working environment

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a-lot of support and when i am actually on my study day it doesn't feel like I work too as I am given the full university experience . even outside-of uni the lecturers and very helpful and will help when necessary . In university each apprentice is allocated a skills coach as-well who you can contact for anything academic or work related

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like my training provider provides a-lot of support and similarity of what is being taught and what I do at work for example I had a unit where I was leanring about the software development cycle and agile working which is essentially what I do day in day out . Leanring programming languages at uni is very helpful also

  • 9a. Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend the digital and technology solutions apprenticeship programme o a friend because you do not have to have a technical ICT background in the field and the people you work with will really help you improve on your technical skills you wont feel like your the imposter but will be treated like the member of the team form say one and see your own progress form teh first month to 6 months done your career is amazing! a little perseverance and hard work is all that is needed

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • I would say to others to be yourself fin the interview and understand that you will be working with many different people so having great communication is a skill that will be good if you work don before hand . Having some ICT/DevOps background will also be a Hugh help which will help you understand concepts better
