1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a Carer working within the domicile sector, providing care within our clients own homes, this can included personal care, companionship, housework & preparing meals. Taking or going shopping & taking a client out & about as required. This includes wake or sleep nights as well as take a breaks for live in Carer’s.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have found that the skills that I already have, I have been able to develop and further enhance my abilities. I have also gained a better understanding of some of the procedures and requirements within my job role.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy that my Tutor is there for me & helps me better understand area’s that I maybe a little bit unsure of. I also enjoy the fact that I can talk through any area of my uncertainty as well as been able to record my answers

I am very pleased with the support I receive from my trainer, she is always ready to help when I need it & very understanding when I require more help or time

I think that it brings a better understanding of my role as well as bringing clarity in regards to my job role with the procedure & requirements.

Ensure you communicate well with your Tutor & do your assignments well & if in doubt or have questions ask. Participate in all accepts of your training.
