My role involves caring for children ages 2-5 years. On a day to day basis I will care for each child’s needs including hygiene routine like nappy changes. I will observe my key children each week and make sure they are progressing.
Since starting my apprenticeship I have gained so much knowledge. I am able to understand children who require more support and how I would support that child.
I really enjoy the programme I am on. I like the fact I have support from my tutor and I don’t feel over loaded with work. I feel like I’m learning at a steady pace.
The programme is well structured I am able to understand each assessment when given.
I receive a lot of support from both my tutor and employer. I am able to talk freely about my concerns and if I need any help they are both always free to provide.
So much support from her. Honestly I could not have asked for a better tutor, she will talk her time explaining what I need to do and is always available if I’m struggling. She understands if I am struggling and she will put support in place and help me to over come it.
100% this course as opened my eyes to childcare. I enjoy learning new skills and I have definitely stepped out of my comfort zone.

If you are looking to expand your knowledge or to learn new skills. This company is definitely the choice. With a tutor like mine I have never felt so at ease when learning. I would definitely recommend paragon.
Just go for it. I was really questioning doing an apprenticeship I felt as if I was too old to learn anymore. I had to push myself to step out of my comfort zone and I don’t regret a minute of this experience.
