1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

i am a qualified level 2 hairdresser and now doing my level 3 hairdressing qualification. on a daily basis i do a range of different services. for example, cut, colours, perms. i interact with all different people who all like different colour and styles and it’s my job to make them happy when they leave the salon.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt lots of new skills (thanks to my amazing assessor). i have also developed my existing skills, and have all the confidence to fulfil any desired look my clients require.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i love the programme i am doing, i couldn’t think of anything better to be doing. my knowledge and skills i have learnt are unbelievable.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

my programme is very well structured. i never feel under pressure or stressed out.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

my employer is unbelievable, she is amazing. i receive all the support in the world from her and i couldn’t think of anyone better to be my boss.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i feel so much more confident knowing i have bev to help me with everything i am doing. i’m being taught in a way that is catered for me and which i understand.

we have training days often.
